Bonjour Bill,
You look so so so happy. Give me more detail about the farm. A collective! your own? etc….
Hey Patou! Yeah it’s fun out at the farm. We work our butts off sometimes, but we need that anyway. We are about 15 people in all, and we do the farming according to certain principles. These principles have to do with sustainability and not harming the land. You can read more about them by searching on the words “perma culture”. We have 4 chickens, some fish that we’ve introduced to our pond, and about 40,000 – 60,000 bees. So honey is definitely on the menu. If you look around the NY area, maybe you can join some kind of collective. It’s nice to get out at least once a week on to the land. We have to pay about 200 dollars a year each, because we’re renting the land. But we think it’s worth it for the fun and the learning, and of course the crops and eggs and honey we get. It’s a bargain! Come on over and visit and we’ll take you out to the farm.
Greetings to Steve and Kai and the kids.
Have it good!
